I wish I had found this site a month ago. My beautiful daughter Isabell is seven weeks old today, and I am scheduled to undergo a tubal in a little more than 24 hours. Isabell is my second child, and she was born three weeks early due to preeclampsia. Since I also had this condition with my son, it is assumed that I would also have it with any other children. My husband and mother, who is sort of in denial of my adulthood, both pushed it on me. I know they are both worried about my health, but I feel kind of cornered. Since I am only 23, I kind of felt like I should wait, but I rather reluctantly agreed after my OB said it would be a good idea. She didn't push me at all, actually asked me several times if I was sure. I don't want any more children, but I don't want all my options taken away, either. Anyway, I guess it is really too late to back out now.
CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
