please be careful

Kendra: Please be careful! 15 years ago i had a tl about 1 year after i started complaining to my gyn about heay bleeding, cramping and pms. I always got the run around, i was over weight, over 25, etc. In 1989 I was put on bc pills, and it was awful. i took them for almost a year and it did make my periods lighter it did not help with anything else. i decided against the gyn advice to stop taking them. for the nest 8 years i suffered all the usual symptoms of pts but did not realize it because i had never heard of it. Last fall when i told the gyn about my heavy bleeding and cramping he did an ultrasound. he convinced me to have an endomitrium ablation to stop the heavy bleeding and that has happened. since then all the other things have continued. night sweats, hot flashes, stomach problems, pms, depression etc. my primary physician put me on anti depressants which did nothing but make me sleep 10-13 hours a day and have no emotions at all. i also decided not to take these pills against the drs. advice. i had to force him to run blood tests to check my hormones. he told me it wouldn't help because i am only 39. now i am waiting for the results. the reason i am telling you all this is because drs. make all these decisions for you and i truely feel like they don't listen or want to hear what you are saying to them. Please be careful because no one knows your body better than you do. Get informed for your own sake!Good Luck

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
