Lisa...

In all the research I've done recently, due to alot of "female" problems, I have found an interesting corelation between the various hormones...thyroid included...and mine have been quite "off"!!

I was always feeling colder than everyone else, tired, dry skin, hair falling out, excess sweating, joint pains, ringing in my ears, freezing hands and feet, extreme irritability, and various other symptoms (some people experience weight gain and other symptoms as well). Through my naturopath I found out about "Wilson's Syndrome", which is a problem with the thyroid hormone (T4) being transferred to the usable hormone for metabolism (T3) in the tissues. All thyroid tests come back normal with this since it is not related to the thyroids ability to make hormones. The main "give away" symptom is a low body temp taken 3 hours after waking, 3 hours later and 3 hours later and then averaged.

Anyway, I have had excellent results with the therapy...most of my symptoms are resolved. I am still quite tired due to the endometriosis I am struggling with, but it has taken care of many other things! There is a site at http://www.wilsonssyndrome.com if any of that sounds familiar to you!

After my FRS with Dr Hufnagel in June, she will put me on a program to balance my hormones, and hopefully then I'll be like "new"!! Balanced hormones in every way! :-)

Love and Health,
Stephanie

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
