Reversal only option??

by

I am finally going to see the OB/GYN who did my tubal next Tuesday. I have been wondering what are my options here, assuming she DOES agree to give me all the appropriate tests? Is it either reversal or hysterectomy or what? My husband thinks I should have it reversed, but I was told 2 years ago when I had this done that that would be major surgery, and is not covered by insurance. Considering we are in the middle of job changes, there is no way we can afford to pay $3,000 for a reversal. But if the symptoms are only going to get worse, as I have been told, what else can I do?? I am really afraid of going to my doctor and having her think I am a hypochondriac and not giving me the answers or help I need. That's all I want is some answers and some potential solutions that don't involve taking hormones, which is the very thing I was trying to avoid by having my tubes tied! I am frustrated already and I haven't even seen my doctor yet! I just keep thinking I'm going to be wasting my time... am I? Do I just have to learn to live with this pain, if she won't acknowledge me? Is there any way I can get insurance to cover at least PART of a reversal?? Help!

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
