Lets re-cap this... After your TL you had irregular periods..bad enough i went to the ob/gyn to discuss it. "they" gave me estrogen for a few weeks, and that problem straightened itself out.

Any hormone testing done at that time?

about a year later, I was diagnosed with hypo-thyroidism.

What events lead up to being diagnosed with this?

What was tested at this time? Just your TSH levels? Do you have a copy of these lab resutls?

You took synthroid (see http://www.synthroid.com/) for 2 1/2 years and then, and am now no longer on synthroid as my levels were normal w/o it.

When was the last time you had your levels checked?

Does "hypo-thyrodism" correct its self?
Can someone find out how often this happens?
Do you have a family history of "hypo-thyrodism"?

I have recently developed heart palpatations, my heart skips beats, beats very fast sometimes... all very disturbing to me. I also have a horrible memory lately. I have to write down everything from take a lunch to work to give
the kids a bath or i forget it.

This is how i was before proper treatment for what was causing these symptoms in me. I was losing my memory, having fuzzy logic, was confused most of the time (to the point of being afraid to drive). I thought I was developing altimizers.

Proper treatment for my condidtion was HRT (hormone replacement therapy).

O.K.,
you NEED your levels tested. If what's happening to you now is related to your thyriod this can be very dangerous.

You want to find out if you have hypo-thyroidism, a hormonal imbalance, or both. Ask for the following tests to be done.

Free T4
T3

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
