Gee, what a surprise!

by

I finally saw my OB/GYN today, and guess what? She recommended I go on a "low dose" pill, and insinuated I might have to stay on it for life! What a crock! I was so flabbergasted that I forgot everything I wanted to say about getting blood tests, etc... She wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise and talked so fast I couldn't think straight. At least she scheduled me for an ultrasound Thursday, but I'm not sure if it will show anything. Hopefully, it does so I can get on with some form of treatment. I am going to fax the letter tomorrow saying I want blood tests before I will even touch those pills. But what do I do after I get the results of the blood tests?? Then what??
Also, what are the reasons behind FRS only being done in Mexico? My brain automatically pictures some dirty back ally, even though I've heard it is more like a spa or hotel. But what's the deal with that?
I am disgusted with my doctor and cannot figure out how to get the funds together for FRS, or even reversal, if that's all I can do.
Oh, also, I asked the doc if she ever heard of PTS, and she said, "Oh- Post Tubal Pain Syndrome- that only occurs right after surgery, and blah blah blah.." on and on and I couldn't even interrupt her to tell her that was NOT what I was talking about! She only seemed to be concerned about reducing my cramps with the pill, and that is the least of my worries! ARGH! What is wrong with these doctors? I think I'm going to schedule a consultation with Dr. Hufnagel. I'm fed up. Sorry to be so pessimistic, but I am not a happy camper right now. >:< <---crabby face

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
