please, think about it..........

by

i had my tubal the day after i gave birth to my second and last child and i regret it. my husband said he was ok with my decision to have the tubal.also,if i wanted another baby he would be just as happy as the previous times.my family on the other hand presured me that it was the best thing, they said two was enough, money etc... i wish i would have listened to my heart and did what i wanted, after all i am the one who takes care of my kids all the time, not my mother who was the biggest advocate if the tubal.i am thankfull for the two kids i have, they are a gift that i will always cherish. i guess i just want to experiance that again.
i am also lucky that i have experianced no problems after the tubal.although i agree with many on this site,i was never told by my doctor about any possible side affects after the tubal.i was just asked if i wanted to go through with it. even thhough i had signed consent papers during the pregnancy,i think at that time you think this is it no more. i wish there was a waitig period after giving birth until you can have the tubal, how clearly can you be thinking with every thing that has just happened in the past 24 hours, not to mention all the hormonal changes in your body. i just wanted to let you know that your not alone and i think all our stories will help someone else when making this decesion. bye

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
