He says, she says.... read this

He says that tubal's don't have any side effects

She says (as many do) AND as studies have proven that tubal ligations do cause hormonal imbalances and side effects.

The lawyers don't want these cases because they consider it an "informed consent issue" the he said she said thing...

What these "non"-informed cases really are is "consumer fraud" cases and one huge case of our human and civil rights being violated.

What is the doctor going to say in court? That he "informed you" that tubal ligations are known to cause hormonal imbalances? O.K. When and were did this take place? If he informed then why doesn't he offer pre-testing before the TL and why doesn't he order the testing now?

On the other hand is he going to say he didn't inform you?

This issue of non-consent has gotten much media attention and will continue to do so as this is a women's health/consumer rights/human rights issue.

Key issues are:

1. The ACOG publicly denies that tubal ligations cause such conditions as post tubal syndrome (PTS), or hormonal imbalances.

This issue can be directly compared to the tobacco companies withholding information from the public. The only difference here is when people developed health problems from smoking they were not required to return directly the tobacco people for help and health treatment. When women develop PTS they have no choice but to return to the same ob-gyn doctors and their organization (the ACOG) that withheld the information from them initially.

2. Tubal ligations are known by the ACOG and their members to cause hormonal imbalances and other side effects. These side effects have been proven through clinical research and studies, and have been reported by health professionals and victims who have witnessed and experienced side effects first hand. The ACOG has conspired with malicious and wanton recklessness to keep this known information from the public for fear of the litigation that would ensue. They publicly refuse to acknowledge the scientific findings that prove such side effects are true and real and publicly state that tubal ligations do not cause such health conditions. The ACOG and their members withhold this information from the public at large and no one is informed before or afterwards. Women are told afterwards that their current health condition could in no way have been caused by the tubal ligation surgery when there is no other cause.

3. The ACOG and their members know that when tubal ligation surgeries are performed that many of the women will be returning for second and third surgeries such as D&C's and hysterectomies because of side effects from the TL. The very same organization/ob-gyn doctors that withheld the information and profited by doing so then go on to profit again from the original consumer fraud. Women are not informed at the time of their TL that the surgery could create such conditions that would necessitate such treatments. Women are told at the time of these second and third surgical producers that their tubal ligation surgery had in no way caused their health condition that necessitated such radical procedures.

The issue is not a he said she said thing. - It's much larger then that... it's more like
He hid (information) in order to profit... - she suffers the health side effects for the rest of her life.

He is refusing you testing.

What's the harm if you get the tests and your levels are normal? NONE -

What's the harm if you are refused testing and your levels are not normal? MUCH HARM-

He's stating that testing will not show anything because your levels change- This is just an excuse this doctor is giving you because he does not want to order the testing because it would be in a way an admittal that you could be suffering a hormonal imblance.

- Yes, the testing would show a base line and would tell you if your levels are in a normal range, or if they are not in a normal range.

Hormonal imblances of this nature are very serious - and cause negtive physical and mental changes.

Being refused blood work/testing?

CALL THIS A SILENT BATTERY.
The victims? - WOMEN HEALTH CONSUMERS WITH HUMAN AND CIVIL RIGHTS.

Call/e-mail/write....
NOW, Public Citizen, and the ACLU,

Tell them the time to take action on this issue is NOW.

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
