TO TAMMY RE: ACTUAL HOSPITAL HAPPENINGS

I DO NOT GO MUCH ON PAIN EITHER, HOWEVER IT WAS RELATIVELY PAINLESS, OF COURSE YOUR UNCONCIOUS WHILE ITS HAPPENING.I AM IN AUSTRALIA AND I HAD MY TUBES CLAMPED,SO IT WAS DONE WITH A LAPRASCOPE AND THE ONLY THING I WAS TOLD COULD HAPPEN WAS THAT I WOULD HAVE PAIN IN MY SHOULDER BLADES AND COLLARBONE DUE TO THE GAS THEY BLOW YOUR STOMACH UP WITH. SO I SPOKE TO A NATURAL REMEDIES STORE AND THEY TOLD ME TO GET SOME CHARCOAL TABLETS AND TAKE THEM AS SOON AS I WOKE UP (AFTER I STOPPED THROWING UP DO TO A REACTION TO THE PETHIDINE THEY GAVE ME)WOW WHAT A TRIP. ANYHOW I LEFT THE HOSPITAL AT 9.30PM AND HAD A TABLET AS SOON AS I GOT HOME AND ANOTHER 2 THE NEXT DAY AND DID NOT SUFFER ANY PAIN IN MY SHOULDERS AT ALL. THERE IS A LITTLE BIT OF SITE TENDERNESS AND YOU SHOULDN'T PICK UP ANY OF YOUR LITTLE ONES OR DO ANY WASHING (LEAVE THAT FOR HUBBY) BUT ALL IN ALL IT IS RELATIVELY PAINLESS. I WOULD RECOMMEND EXHAUSTING EVERY OTHER CONTRACEPTION AVENUE BEFORE HAVING THIS DONE IF I WERE YOU, I KNOW NOW IT IS NOT SOMETHING TO TAKE LIGHTLY AND BELIEVE ME ONCE IT'S DONE AND THE SYMPTONS KICK IN YOUR BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN AND HUSBAND WILL WONDER WHAT THE HELL THEY DID TO YOU IN THERE.

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
