I want my story heard.

Hello Christine.I am SO GLAD to hear that you have not had the tubal done yet.You are SO FORTUNATE to have found this web site PRIOR to having it done.I sure wish that I would have had all this information before I had it done.I have explained to you my health problems due to this,I havent even gone into the "mental" stress that it has caused me.I lay in bed just about every night thinking about what I did to my body (I lay there with a pad!)I started taking the BIRTH CONTROL pills that my doctor prescribed for me to stop the bleeding, and so far it has not worked.When I first went to the doctor with my bleeding problems,about 2 months after I had the surgery,he told me that 1 out of 3 women experience these sorts of problems.WHY WAS I NOT TOLD THAT BEFORE I HAD IT DONE!???? PLEASE read all the information found in this site--this is the truth--I have a VERY hard time trusting the medical community now.This site is about REAL women with REAL problems.I wish I could turn back the hands of time---I would have my HEALTHY body and mind back again,I would of sought other alternitives to birth control.I am happy that you are informed and I wish you health and happiness.

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
