Every lab will have its own referrence normal range for any result. ie, the lab should publish the expected normal range, as well as the your result. As far as day 20 goes, this is a good idea for estrogen and progesterone, but not FSH. FSH initally is elevated only during the first several days of your cycle. Since you were able to calculate day 20, I assume you are still having periods. If you are not having periods, or not regular ones, than an FSH draw anytime is better than none. An elevated FSH in the first three cycle days indicates you are on your way to menopause. This is significant as menopause is not a natural state in young women of childbearing age. Therefore, you must take steps to avoid estrogen defiecency related diseases, such as osteoporosis and heart disease. A very low FSH, with abnormal periods has other indications which also need treated. Hope your doctor is honest with you. The real questions is, did your doctor really order all the test listed, or did he edit the list, and only order the ones he wanted? You have the right to ask and recieve a copy of your lab records, atleast in most states. If able, get a retain a copy for your future reference.Good Luck!!!!

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
