Endometrial ablation and third blood clot

I have not posted for some time.. I had a tubal
in 1993 but didn't really notice the symptoms
until I found this board. Well, to make a long
story short. I did have the PTLS...and found a
very good dr who understood the problem. She told
me that I had 3 cysts and we tried HRT for six
days knowing well that I had a blood clot before.
But...I did get another blood clot in May.
Now the third one is it... I may be on blood thinners for the rest of my life..I am going to
have another doppler done and another test. Oh
the clot is not hereditary. And I had to have
Lovenox for 4 days..let me tell you it was a
nightmare. I had a visiting nurse only to get the
INR levels and she was rather blunt...I had been
through this before. She found out I was not
bedridden.. and made it clear she was not coming
back or she would lose her job. I did not order
her services... I told her I was not bedridden
but had to stay off my feet for three days if
possible except to take the kids to school. And
then I got the blame from the pharmacy because
it was my fault... and then the clinic said but
that is protocol.. I said yep...but I am not to
blame..and who ordered this? I found out that the
dr had sent her out to accelerate the INR levels
and check my vitals only. I knew she would be there for a few days until the level was consistent for 2 days...and not one time did they
say I'm sorry.. But the dr was embarrassed because
I told him I was angry.. he didn't say a word
I think he told them a short time and the nurses
messed it up. He is a good doctor.. I dont' trust
home health care after they violated my trust.
And they had the nerve to tell me if I was not
getting treated right to report them...little did
they know. One the other hand, the Zoladex does
suppress the estrogen levels..but it did shrink the cysts..they are gone and the uterus is 9 cm instead of 10 cm according to the sono in Aug'99.
I've taken the shots since 6/7/99- and stopped
in May for about two weeks. I have to be on the
shots again until the clot is healed. And I will
have the ablation. I am not a candidate for FRS.
I was 14 weeks pg with third child and had the clot. The second one from hormones or lack of..but I don't think it was the HRT. I took it for six days. And I agreed to a lower dosage. But now
this one is because I had a second one. Isn't that
just fun? I had 36 of the 39 PTLs symptoms and I thought I was having delusions. The urgent care people told me I had a cyst. The nurse said you are 28 days and have middle pain. I said no. She thought I was crazy. The truth was I did have 3 cysts. Urgent Care is for people that are close to being hospitalized. And if you complain they think you are having phantom pain.Twice I came in there
and had something wrong with me. And then I was
treated. The back problem flared up again and
I had to see a chiropractor. How about that?
And then they were just giving me a quick fix.
The dr on call said take 2 pills for the pain
for the mid-pain and you don't want a hysterectomy. I said are you kidding? What do I
do for pain? I almost went through the roof and
I think I was allergic to the meds. They did not
help me. I do have dysfuctional uterine bleeding
because the blood supply was cut off. And then
the uterus was enlarged and the ovary too. I was
told I could be pg last March'99..but it not
a baby. I was sad. But it may have been better
that way who knows? I ached for a fourth child
since the third one turned 4..But face it we
have three great kids.11 yr-girl, 8.5 yr-boy
and 6.5 yr boy-ADD/ADHD w/ Language and learning
delays. He is much better.Anyway, the good news is I lost 10 lbs. I had 3 UTI's in 18 mos. But my cholesterol is up and borderline.. wonder why? I never had high cholesterol really. I don't smoke or drink either.I am on prozac & klonopin since
I have OCD and I am happy that it was diagnosed
after years and years. I am seeing a therapist since April- 2 visits combined with my loving
spouse of 15 years. We agreed to go together.
And it's nice.. We are in things together.
My heart breaks for all of you. don't have a tubal
and don't let the dr tell you you will not feel
less a woman. I had it for health reasons...and
I regret it everyday in the almost 7 years. I
could have avoided all of this. And had a fourth
baby. If your husband offers to have surgery
let him.

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
