I am 40 years old and had a tubal banding and endrometrial ablation done in Feb.2000. That's just 5 months ago and I have been very sick since. I have constant joint pain, chest pain, burning sensation throughout my body constantly, eyelashes are falling out, insomnia, and the list goes on. I've been to my gynie several times since this surgery who says he has never heard of such a thing. He actually handed my reports and said go see someone else. Well, that was after he said take Prozac!! I did go see another female gynie and she also said my symptoms wouldn't be from this surgery. Bull--I was very healthy before all this. They both suggested I get tested for MS, Lupus, Rheumatoid arthrites etc. So I went to 3 different nuerologists and all my tests came back negative!! A few told me to take Paxil. I AM a victim of PTS. No other doctor has diagnosed me with anything else and I've had test after test and tubes of blood taken, too numerous to count. I ordered the Hormone test kit through the coalition and yes I do have a terrible hormone imbalance. I also have an appt with a female endo on Mon. for a second opinion of the coalition testing. I knew 5 months ago this was hormones and nobody believed me--so I just continue to suffer. I too am totally fed up!! Now I'll have to be on HRT. I didn't even ask for a tubal. I went to my gynie just cause I was having periods every 2-3 weeks. He said the ablation would help this (I never heard of that either) and that I had to have the tubal with this. He did not tell me of any side effects. He told me I just wouldn't have periods anymore--which did sound good. So now I am paying deary for this.
CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
