Personal appeal - I need your help - Scheduled CHAT

I'm making a personal appeal to you for help. I'm being sandbagged by the defense and court in CA.

I'm working on posting court documents/information at www.tubal.org to help better explain.

The CPTwomen is hosting a chat at www.tubal.org Saturday at 2p.m. central standard time (noon CA time) for anyone wishing to learn of the issues.

If everyone contributes just a few dollars the case will be able to move forward and the doors to justice will open for everyone. If this case is not allowed to move forward then there is little hope for other women to follow on their own or in a class action lawsuits.

What has happened in my case in CA is the Judge accepted a motion by the defense which orders me to pay a $10,000 bond in order for this case to move forward. I'm not a wealthy woman and am not able to come up with $10,000 for the court bond.

I did motion for the court to reconsider or in the alternative to reduce the bond to $1. The Judge denied my request for reconsideration and his order that the bond be paid stands. (There are issues that this bond is a violation of the interstate commerce laws, discrimination because I was residing outside the state of CA, a harassment tacit being used by the defense to get the case thrown out and not heard.)

The judge stated that no new information had been presented when in fact new information was presented. A 2nd set of material facts was submitted as evidence which included the before and after photos and the video tape.

If I'm able to continue with this case I will prevail which in turn will open up the doors of justice for all other women who were not informed of the risks and side effects of tubal ligation to follow....

If in the end the case is throw out because I'm unable to pay this bond it will be essentially an action of denying my civil rights of access to the court.

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
