READ YOU"LL LOVE THIS!

I relaly appreciate this forum. It helped me have enough guts to even go to the doctor. I kept feeling like i was just imagining all of these things. But I did got to the doctor.. and this is what happened!

When I saw my doctor, I started telling him what was going on...before i got done with my symptoms, he was ordering a uterine biopsy, and filling out my lab slip to see about my hormone levels. he said that it did sound as if i was experiencing early menopause!!!

wow i was shocked 1) that he suggested it 2) that i didnt hvae to fight to get my levels checked like most women. This guy seems great. but the real test will be when i have my next visit to see what is wrong with me. he will have my results my then and will try to figure out what to do next. do you have any idea what normal hormone levels are? and if i should check the results myself to see if he is bull****ting when he says nothing is wrong with me??? that sounds horrible doesnt it? but i have heard all these bad stories about women whose levels are low and the doctor does nothing about it.
One good sign is that he mentioned that he knew that women experiencing menopause had horrible cramping which i agreed with.. he prescribed me darvoset. i was expecting tylonal 3! hahaha i was impressed to say the least that he actually cared that i might be in pain!!! He asked me who did my tubal, and when i told him, he made a funny face.. i dont know what it means, but it didnt look good :(

he also mentioned to me.. you all will like this.... He said, there have been many cases when after having your tubes tied that women have experienced menopause DECADES before they would have if they had not had a tubal ligation. BUT he also said that the FDA will not support those findings.. why?? becuase they say " Every woman is different whose is to say that the tubal ligation caused the early onset of menopause?" HA We all know better dont we? How unfortunate to not be supported by our goverenment!!!!!

How frustrating it is to sit in bed now and wish my old doctor had told me there might even be the slightest chance of this!!! I mean he went all out to tell my husband that he has seen finding (but not proven) that vasectomys can increase the risk of prostate cancer.. so since my husband allready is high risk.. he WOULD NOT do a vasectomy on him! He said our best route would be to have my tubes tied! He also said that He thought that would be best because there are really no risks involved in tubal ligations.. exept that with any major surgury there can always be complications during surgury. NEVER said anything about possibilities of early menopause!!!! THAT PISSES ME OFFF!!

thanks for you support, i just thought you might want to know how things were going. :)

Wow i just re read thhis message.. i apologize for how long it is :(

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring.
