I believe I am suffering from hormonal imbalance as a result of TL

by

Hi! I have reading a lot of the post. I just had a TL last June of 1999 right after I had my 3rd child as a form of a permanent birth control. Now I truly regret it my decision since it is wrecking havoc on my emotional and mental state as well as physical. I read about one women's post (not sure who it was on here) and she said that she a thyroid test done as well as other test and couldn't find out anything. Well that sounds just like me. I went to an internest doctor and he couldn't figure out what was wrong with me: loss of weight (can't gain anything), loss of breast mass (I am very small close to be flatchested), loss of urine control ( I have peed my pants in public so embarrassing), nails started to break now, severe cramping worse than before TL, sever PMS, no sexual desire, long periods last seven days where before TL my periods was 3 days, I have bleeding in the middle of the cylce, and I have brown discharge that is very heavy, and yukky.
Now I feel like I am a totally mean person. I am not like the person that I was before. I feel like I am PMSing all the time. I would love to have this syndrome to be resolved. I guess you can say that this is my call for help. I am so tired all the time that my house is a wreck. I am not happy all the time anymore. Little things bother me now that has never bothered me before. This is so aggravating. I am only 27 years old.

I told my husband about this site and the PTS and he wants me to have a tubal reversal. He wants me to go back to the doctor that did this procedure on me and redo the procedure.

Now I want to ask you:

Is it worth it to have the TLreversal?? Will the symptoms go away or did it go away for you??

What about hormone replacement therapy??I really feel like I shouldn't be doing replacement since I am so young.

What to do I do not know?? I want these symptoms to go away!

HELP!!!

Smfeet (not wanting to disclose my real name)

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
