Hi, I am 25yrs old and had my tubal 2 1/2 yrs ago. Im not sure what type it was or how they call it but i am told that my tubes were cut and burnt. I have had nearly every symptom linked to PTS. I have had heavy periods, blood clots size of golf balls, cramps in legs and back, sometimes i get my periods every 2 months and sometimes twice in one month for 3 mos straight. I have gone to the doctor many times and every time I go its the same thing. They try to put me on birth control pills saying it will regulate me. Well dats not true cuz I tried it to see if maybe they were right and I was on the pills for 7 mos with no change. At times I even feel as if I were pregnant. My abdomen gets really hard and my breasts real tender. I found a doctor in the Dominican Republic who believes PTS exists and has told me that the reversal is probably my best way to go. He says I wont see immediate change but I will begin to feel much better. I will be flying to the country in late February for my reversal. I think it is the best that we can do if we can afford it. If only there was a way we could get the insurance to pay for it would be great. Best of luck to you.

Denise

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
