ADHESIONS ON UTERUS

by

Well, I ended up in the emergency room this morning. I went due to a upper respiratory infection I have had for the last two weeks, but when they asked me when my last period was and I told the nurse which one she looked surprised. I told the attending ER physician about the pain I have had for the last nine years on my left side. Well I got a catheter to fill my bladder and they did an ultrasound on me. The Dr. came to me about an hour later, and I guess he thought he was funny, he said" well, I have good news, you r not pregnant." But that I do have adhesions on my uterus, and that happens alot with women who have had tubals, and that all he could tell me was to have another surgery, but that may not help, it may make it worse. So, in not so many words he was telling me that I needed a hysterectomy, what other "surgery" would he be talking about? But at least now I have it documented that I have had an ultrasound, and a witness to what he told me, my sister in law was there with me through it all. So, anyone else out there been through this part of it, and just what are adhesions? Help.
Thanks, Nicole

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
