Im there too!!

by Beth

Stephanie,

I read your message with MY mouth hanging open. I too have had three c-sections and had my tubes tied with the third. My symptoms started with insomnia about 1 yr ago, (my baby is 18 months). From there I stared experiencing anxiety and depression. I too taught aerobics twice a day Mon-Sat (thats what really got me with your story) Now I can't imagine setting foot in a gym!!!! And the grocery store thing..... I know exactly the way you feel. Anyway, I was lucky enough to find a wonderful Dr.(phyciatrist) she has been very patient with me. The zoloft was sooo bad, it seemed to make thigs worse. I know take Wellbutrin it seems to be the best out there for me. Also helped with the sex drive (or lack there of). There is no doubt in my mind that the tubal had everything to do with this. And I also was told there were no side effects. But after reading all these other stories I do feel much better and I'm going to make the best of this. I refuse to let this ruin the rest of my life (or until menapause) I just wanted to let you know how sypathetic I am for you, but try to keep you head up, and if the Zoloft is not working don't be afraid to speak up and tell your Dr. to try somthing else. I promise you'll find one that works. Best of luck to you.
Your friend, Beth

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
