I know you must be very upset, but may I question about what? Are you really upset about the Tubal ligation, because you already stated you do not want a tubal ligation. SO that leaves the matter of your husbands insistence that you have you body surgically altered forever to ensure his stress free sexual escapades. Ask yourself, where does this type of abuse stop? Next he may insist you give up friends, work, money. You are nothing more than a slave if you go through with this proceure just because he does not want to be bothered with birth control. ON the other hand, if you really think this through and decide it is best for you, then it will be your decision, not his. I think the bigger issue here is that you know in your heart that if he is really worthy of your love, then he must act like a worthy person. One who will grow old with you, not someone who will leave when beauty fades, or the children make too much noise. Sounds like you already know this, and that you are looking for ways to take steps to ensure your future happiness with or without him, that's why you read and posted on this forum. Good Luck, you have all the power you need with in yourself. Many women here make good sounding boards if you need moral support.

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
