I am so glad that I found your post on here.

I was just discussing with my husband the other day about how I can get cigna to approve a tubal reversal. I had my tubal in Feb. of 1996, and it has been hell on wheels since then. At 1st I thought that maybe it was my thyroid causing all of these problems, but my levels are normal. My periods are VERY irregular now. I have PMS which I never had before with the mood swings and heavy cramping. I have night sweats and hot flashes at 29. I have put on I guess about 40 pounds. Even exercising didn't get any weight off of me. I am grouchy as hell towards my husband. I stay tired all of the time. Sex is so painful that I dread having it, and that is bad. When I ovulate I know which ovary I am ovulating from due to the severe pain. I get shooting pains that start low in the center and radiate to my rectum. I had my gallbladder removed in 97. I had a cystoscopy along with a good scraping of the lining of my bladder due to all of the urinary tract infections that I was getting, and still get even after the surgery. I have had uterine ultrasounds which were normal as far as no cysts that would cause the pain. I now have what they call an intraverted uterus. I have yet to undergo a laparoscopic procedure which is next on the list. I am in the process of looking for a good gyn. in my area that I can go to in hopes of giving me the help that I need. I just really want this reversal done. I do understand that I may become pregnant again, but I'd rather go through bad headaches on the pill than to suffer like this each and every day of my life. I personally would really like to be part of this class action lawsuit. Not for the money, but because of the fact that my gyn. that did my tubal didn't inform me of all of the post surgery complications and life long suffering that I could endure.

Take the Tubal Ligation I.Q. Test Are you outraged? Feel as though you and other women were not (are not) being informed? Think that a class action lawsuit should be filed on behalf of post tubal women because information was and still is being withheld by the ACOG! The CPTwomen invites all reading this forum to join the CPTwomen and communicate with us at the members' forum. All posting here and conversation here has been moved to the members' forum.

CPTwomen members have testified in front of the IL and CA Court, the IL Gov. Task Force, the Sunset Review Committee, (Senator Liz Figueroa), NOW, and more. What occurred has been made a matter of public record. The CPTwomen are making public the issues which millions of other women have faced in silence. Issues such as women are not informed at the time of their tubal ligation that there is a risk of hormonal imbalance occurring. For the CPTwomen to continue its mission to move this issue to the forefront of government, we must ask for a small contribution/subscription fee from all those who wish to communicate with us and participate at the Coalition's Bulletin Board
