Like you said, let the deadweight go. You've gotta get rid of the wannabes who want the glory with none of the work. Besides, you guys are building a stable of RBs back there.
I'd also say that if Crompton is still that much of a question mark (haven't seen your spring game so I can't say myself), you'd be best served to USE all of those RBs and try to grind games out in that tennessee, old-school way.
That being said, if your team gets behind by a few scores that leaves you high and dry. You've gotta get that QB spot solidified to compete.
I don't see ut winning in the Swamp this year, if nothing else than for the offense that we'll have this year. Especially if your LB spots are as soft as you think they are. But hey, you can't expect turnarounds overnight. I personally think Kiffin isn't the right fit for tennessee, but now that you've got him you have to be patient and let him recruit for a few years to get HIS players to fit his system.
If nothing else, you should be able to handle the dirty dawgs this year! | |
