and then we found a cat in the street and convinced my parents to let us keep it. It disappeared soon though.
Then, when we moved to the countryside, we always had a dog and at least one cat (3 was the maximum at a time, they kept dying, the poor things).
When we moved to another city, they had a dog there that hated cats, so we spent 7 years only with the dog. When the dog died, I got Tobi and then found Minka.
And Minka had her kittens.
We had a pet chicken at one point (we had normal chickens too, but this one was allowed to play with the cat and dogs), but that's the only pet we had outside the cat/dog axis.
