Episode #237: As Cold As Pryce
Mahogany Town! Ash is ready for gym battle number seven and the Glacier Badge! No one at the gym though. falls over
Some older lady named Sheila says the gym leader Pryce isn't there, he's meditating under a waterfall...Sheila volunteers to take them up to the waterfall, and she's already way ahead of them. ^_^"
Team Rocket's lurking around as well, and they're tailing them...and it's not easy for Ash and friends to tail HER cuz she's pretty energetic... Anywho, there's Pryce...hey, isn't that the guy with the Dewgong they met in the last episode? @_@
Sheila and Ash talk to Pryce, but Pryce insults Ash, saying a battle would be pointless since Ash shouldn't be emotionally involved with his Pokemon(since Pikachu is out of its Pokeball and Ash says they're friends)...
Looks like a practice battle...Pryce uses Dewgong, Ash uses...Phanpy? Ground type against an ice type, Ash? -_-" Rollout by Phanpy, but Dewgong's Ice Beam stops it in its tracks...ak, Phanpy got frozen... Misty and Brock gently tell Ash that Phanpy's vulnerable to ice-types...and this only reinforces Pryce's opinion of him and he walks away. Ash runs after him to try to convince him to give him another chance...
Unfortunately, Ash and Pikachu get separated in the woods...and Team Rocket's still hanging around, but they can't find each other. They know enough to CUE THE MOTTO~!, though. TR charges, but they trip over a rock and go flying. ^_^"""""
Ash and Pikachu take off, but find themselves at the edge of a cliff cornered by TR. Pryce shows up and calls them idiots...heh. Weezing uses Smokescreen and Pryce says to follow him...but the cliff edge gives way and they fall! @_@
Ash quickly calls out Noctowl to save Pryce and has Totodile shoot a Water Gun at the ground to slow his descent...nice thinking, but Totodile's out of it after that overexertion...
Misty, Brock, and Sheila come along looking for Ash and find Team Rocket, but they deny seeing Ash and run off. Misty calls out to Ash and says they have to get down and find him...Sheila knows a way.
Pryce makes a little impromptu herbal medicine to help Totodile. Pryce thanks Ash for reacting so quickly in a tight spot...but says he still needs to learn strict discipline.
Sheila tells a story about how Pryce used to be a lot closer to his Pokemon...she says there's "one memory" that stands out, but she's ready to head down the cliff(by tying a rope to a tree and climbing down) and she shocks Misty and Brock by practically jumping off the cliff and down the rope... @_@
Who's That Pokemon: Magneton
Ash and Pryce try to find their way out of the chasm...Pryce says he's been here once before. Turns out Totodile's water blast cleared a path... Pikachu spots some kind of metal band...Pryce says it's his Piloswine's legbrace. @_@
Elsewhere, Sheila tells the story about Piloswine, that it apparently left out of nowhere one day despite Pryce caring for it a lot. Flashback sequence! But one day they were in a tough competition against a Magmar(fire beats ice) but Piloswine was still psyched for battle...it was losing and Pryce dove in the way of Magmar's finishing Fire Blast! Pryce was badly burned, and as Pryce was recovering from his injuries, Piloswine simply got up and walked out the door...aww...
Ash and Pryce go through the icy tunnel...the ice-covered rocks look like crystal. Suddenly they spot SOMETHING frozen in the ice...PILOSWINE! And it looks like Piloswine is holding some herbs...Ash theorizes that Piloswine went to get some healing herbs to help Pryce but fell into this chasm and got frozen...it didn't leave after all. Pryce is in tears when he realizes how much his Piloswine truly cared...
Ash uses Cyndaquil to melt the ice, then Pikachu uses a little Thundershock defibrilator...but it doesn't seem to be working...hang on, the snout's twitching...and it shakes itself off. Heh. Looks like Pryce and Piloswine are reunited! Piloswine's not quite up to speed yet(well, it was frozen for a long time), so it Rests to restore itself...
Sheila: "Pryce!" Misty: "Ash!" They're finally reunited and Sheila's shocked to see Piloswine back...but Team Rocket makes an encore appearance! Enter Arbok and Weezing, but Piloswine's feeling a bit better...Take Down! Fury Attack! Blizzard! Pikachu adds Thunderbolt and Team Rocket...is...blastingoffagaaaaain*ding*...
Ash asks for a gym battle again...Pryce says sorry...not today, anyways, but tomorrow. Misty: "That's so cool!" Looks like a restless night ahead prior to the next gym battle...
