You never how teams will match up with each other, until they play the games. Detroit fans know that as well as anyone, with our long string of impressive regular seasons, followed by hit-and-miss postseasons. Any team can beat anyone else. One big save, or one bad softie allowed, can turn a whole series.
I understand that most people are rooting for the Sharks in this series, and I can appreciate their p.o.v. If I wasn't a Detroiter, I'd be sick of seeing them in the playoffs every year, after dominating the regular seasons. Most people picked the Sharks to win, as I discussed before the series began; this is the first time we've been underdogs since '97.
