HaseK won cause of a thirty + million dollar disparity.

C'mon HR, Carolina, just like Buffalo, Carolina never had a chance in hell during the finals when confronting a team with more of a payroll disparity then Carolinas actual payroll. No team can overcome such adversity and history proves it so. Hence, the salary cap.

As for history lesson on Alfy, so what?

He dopes this every year in the early rounds, HR, then, as always, he fades into obscurity once the real hockey starts. Does he not understand that their are still four games to be won, that in the playoffs, your only as good as your last game. Look at last year, Alfy was a presence for a while then to then, once they ran in Buffalo, who, you recall, theyr were supposed to handle easily, poooooferiooolie, jason Pomenville, short handed, undressed Alfredson seconds into overtime and scored to put them out.

You may forget that, for the entire summer, he was villified by Ottawa fans... and it would appear that they are now rembering by the sound of the Toronto radio station I'm listening to as I type.

Choker, Slacker, wimp... yada yada yada, take your pick, any description, at this point of time, would apply.

And whether you like it or not, HR, history is CLEARLY repeating itself. Last night he was minus one and led the Sens with the most giveaways, a whopping SIX! Three of em occurred within the first fifteen minutes. Why? Cause he to scared to take the hit. He's a big freaking wimp and his leadership reflects it.

And yes, I would like a guy like Briere to be captain.... if he was a foot taller and weighed twenty five pounds more. You will note, HR, thats all the small, skill players are on the golf course even though many were outstanding during the regular season when their size was an asset, not a liability. After watching Anaheim robust physical play, it is clear to me the Sabres made a grave mistake when they bought into bettmans drivel about the game being called the same way in the Playoffs as it was in the regular season.

As for Drury, I think he is the best American born hockey player on the ice today and has, through blood, sacrifice and extraordinary effort, earned both my utmost respect and the right to captain the team... if we can sign him.
