You make some convincing arguments

Staal suddenly scoring 5 points last night puts him in the running. I didn't know he could play LW either. I think he'll make it on.

Mike Richards is the best defensive center in the NHL along with Datsyuk. However, Lecavalier has more offensive upside so it's a tossup to me. Since Vinny played so well before, he may have the edge.

Penner has been quiet lately but he's been playing by himself. They are shuffling Cogliano, Nilsson, Potulny, Horcoff... anybody in the hopes Penner rubs off on them. He may miss the cut because Smyth & Doan provide leadership from the bench or pressbox.

Trust me, look at Duncan Keith's career +/- even before Chicago became a powerhouse. He is no slouch defensively. He only scores like 40 points per year so it's not like he's Mike Green. He is WAY better than Phaneuf.
