Wow. Philly is a bunch of back stabbers, signing these two players to career contracts and then trading them soon after. Ouch.
These looooong contracts are dumb anyway. They got a bunch of good young players in return (Schenn, Voracek, Simmonds, 1st & 2nd & 3rd round picks) and got themselves out of a huge cap pickle.
But wow - I mean Mike Richards and Jeff Carter. Two of the best young forwards in the game.
Then they turn around and sign the highly overrated Bryzgalov to nine years= weird.
I wonder if LA is going to deal Stoll or Handzus now. The Oilers could use a guy like Stoll - tough, good on faceoffs, hard shot.
