How about Ian White?

Detroit is kind of scary, especially if you aren't used to it. D' knows what I'm talking about. wink.gif

I love the Commodore-signing, too. A big mean Bozo who's going to be forced to play a safe, stay-at-home game, and will provide a little more pain for our adversaries. Salei wasn't bad in that role last year, but he didn't hit very much, probably due to age and a sore back.

White isn't "the replacement for Rafalski," but he's got some offensive-upside, and they say he makes a nice first pass, which is critical. I think his 2-year, $5.75M contract is very reasonable, esp. when you look at some of the laughable deals signed by other d-men this off-season. Ehrhoff...LOL!
