.....In the Eastern Conference, before these first two games, I would have likely agreed with you about Pittsburgh "surviving" the series. But after Philadelphia took the first two games in Pittsburgh, I'm not sure that's a good prediction anymore. Philly in a sweep (now that the Flyers have won the first two).
.....The Rangers should get by Ottawa with relative ease. Rangers in 5.
.....To me, the toughest series to predict will be the Bruins vs the Caps, I'm thinking this one will go seven. And either team could win. Bruins in 7.
.....Between Florida and New Jersey...really? Who cares?? I can't imagine a more boring match up for a playoff series.
.....In the Western Conference, LA vs the Canucks could go either way, and after Game 1, I'm inclined to agree with you that Vancouver is ripe for the taking. LA in 6.
.....Despite the Game 1 going to the Sharks, I think the Blues will turn the series around and take it in 6 or 7. With that said, just to point out the irony that has surrounded the Sharks these past few years, now that they are not "the team that could go all the way"...just watch them upset the Blues and make a legitimate run for the Cup.
.....Between Chicago and the Coyotes...this is kind of the Western Conference version of Florida/New Jersey, really, does it matter? I seriously doubt anyone really cares what happens between these two teams in this series, and I can't imagine I'll watch even one second of it. With that said, somebody's got to win, and I'd rather see the Coyotes come out on top...at least this year. Coyotes in 6.
.....Lastly, the Red Wings vs the Predators. After Game One, this is the bloodbath series, or at least it has the potential to be. Fighting!!??? In the Playoffs!!??? What's this world coming to? Not a very nice thing for Webber to do to Zetterberg, and he probably should have been suspended. Still, I'll be crossing my fingers for the Preds to rid the playoffs of the Evil Red Wings. With that said, I'd never bet against Detroit, whenever I did in the past, I always had to eat crow. Go Preds!!! Red Wings in 6. Bummer.
.....Other than that, the only thing better than seeing the Sabres fail to make the playoffs in the last week, that was to see the Canadiens finish last in the Eastern Conference. It's not always good being a Bruins fan, but it's a great day when the Habs are in last place...D'
