.....I remember Meehan saying the trade deadline was not a deadline he (and Smyth) set, and that it wasn't important to them. I also remember writing here that, though that may be true, Kevin Lowe was in a position that he had to get something now or risk losing Smyth for nothing in the summer, if future negotiations failed...D'
PS: Just heard Dutyshyn refer to Ryan Smyth, known as Capt Canuck...but now he's Captain Highliner. |
