I am planning on having a surprise party for my dad who will be turning 45. It is going to be held at an outdoor grove in a park near where we keep our horses. However, I have some complications. I am going to the beach for 4 days before the party and when I told my dad about this he had mentioned something about having a party for himself, the day I get back and the day before my surprise party.
I had an idea about how to stop this but I needed some suggestions and ideas. My idea was, because my aunts birthday is on the same day as my dad's she will say she is planning a party the same day my dad was thinking about having his and then cancel at the last minute because she got "sick". However, the next weekend my dad and I are going on vacation so I dont know if he would replan his party before my surprise party.
Any ideas on how to get him to not have a party?
And also, how to get him there - I am with my mom on that day and since i will have been away i was thinking i could leave him a scavenger hunt.. each day a simple clue to find a birthday present and the last clue could be come to this place at this time etc etc... what do you think???
Please let me know what you think of my plan and your suggestions! Also, any birthday activites to do at the party??
