1. Write the clue on the back of a puzzle (not too hard) and have them find the pieces with a map,
2. Have the neighbors each have a clue, and have them go tell them a password to recieve the clue,
3. Lightly circle letters in pencil in a book, and have them read the circled letters,
4. Send them an e-mail or create a web page and give them the URL in a previous clue,

5. Write a message in code and have a decoder in a previous clue
6. Give them a map with circled locations, and when they get to each location they find a colored egg with a letter inside, once they get all the eggs, have them unscramble the word!
7. Crack open a walnut shell carefully, and slip a clue inside, then glue it back together and put it back amongst the other walnuts, so they have to smash all of them to find it!
8. You can do the same thing by putting a clue inside a balloon before you blow it up, and fill a whole room with balloons so they have to pop them all to find it!
9. Hide a clue behind a light switch plate, so they have to look behind them all to find it!
10. Put a clue in a water tight container and drop it in a pool, so they have to dive for it!
11. Hide a clue inside plastic wrap inside they're sandwich, so that when they take a break for lunch, they'll find it!
12. Put a series of flags in the woods, so that when they dig each one up, they find a puzzle peice or a letter, and when they find them all, they can read the whole word.
13. Have them do an obsacle course run by an evil troll or a witch, and when they complete it, the character will give them the clue.
14. Tell the clue to a relative or friend, and have them call them on the phone to recieve the clue. Or maybe make a message on your voicemail so that they have to check the voicemail to get the clue.
