Do a laua or Mexican fiesta party. If your religion allows dancing...you could do a rock-n-roll party with Kareoke.
Have games where they have to answer questions like the names of the books in the bible. Certain scriptures out of the bible.

Ok. I did the same thing! I am 19 now but my mom threw me a party just like that in 8th. You will need:
# Lot of pizza's frozen
#Chips and pop
# Have a good sterio loud music is always awesome
# Rent some movies if anyonw will be spending the night
# try and let them have their " cool" privacy but don't be scarese!
# Area for them to dance
# It might seems corney but a chariokee set up. Trust me they'll get into it. Have prizes : Cd's, certiciates ( food places EX; MC doanlds) maybe even have everyone vote on a winner then hey get a mystery envalope with 10$$
# Beach theme best costume, most dressed to theme wins a prize.
# Have a bar set up. I don't the word "bar" at a eith grade party seems right to a mother but trust me it will be " cool" to them. Insted of alcohol
( obviously) Make virgin daqari's, punch drinks, ect.. use umbrella in drinks. * Even have a tips jar for bar tender.
