REBELS WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE TO CALL US IT'S NOT TAKEN OFFENSIVLY. BUT ANYWAY I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO FOR MUNCHIES, ENTERTAINMENT AND FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT FAMILLIAR WITH EACH OTHER. AND YES IT'S A BOY/GIRL PARTY. MY BIRTHDAY ISN'T TILL JANUARY BUT I LIKE TO PLAN THINGS EARLY. PLEASE HELP

i am myself going to be 18 in a few weeks. my friends are also a bit divergent. if i were you i would try to think of the differnt kind of places you and your friends enjoy hanging out, and then creating it in your own home. like, if you enjoy hanging out at coffee shops, turn your living room into one. concidering your interests, at least some of your friends probably play instruments, so you could have them bring their guitars and what not. it's always great to listen to, play, or sing along with your friends. people could play chess or cards, or discuss things... i did that this winter with some of my friends and it was entirely enjoyable. or, if you aren't planning on inviting too many people, you could even go to a place you like to hang out, like and independant theater, or a show for a band you like. then afterward you sould go out to an all night diner... that's just a few ideas. goodluck!

Well for my sisters 18th birthday party we did our tradition, we invited all her friends from her old school and new our cousines, and it was chaperoned.
we ate as much as we wanted, had presents, and unprepared speeches. we called deerest friends and family up and they told everything they new about that person even imbarissing moments and no one new about the speeches. over all it was very fun!! you shloud try it.

Since you friends are into the alternative scene, you should go for a more mature theme for your party. Perhaps play the latest trivial pursuit game or some type of intellectual activity. Decorate the room to reflect everyone's mutual tastes, framed posters of favorite bands, framed magazine tear outs, etc. group decorations in 3s or 5s (ie, 3 posters arranged on one wall, five snacks on one table, the rest buffet style, etc. Colored light bulbs in certain places are good to set a party mood, so are spot lights. Instead of paper streamers, try hanging feather boas of different colors throughout the room (you can find this at toy stores or fabric/craft stores). HTH!
