I need help, my 6 yr old wants a party that is chess theme. He will be dressed like a knight or a king and all the plates and napkins are black and white check print...now the rest I need help. A unique idea for the invitation etc....

I tried this with my seven year old and it ended badly.
The kids dressed as pawns got irate and they all started fighting...it was really ugly there for a while.
