Do you have any ideas of what I could do at my party. My Granny has a great pool and fire pit and huge yard so I was thinking:
- swimming (hanging by the pool)
- pizza and hotdogs for dinner
- marshmallow roast
but I was wondering if maybe a dj would be a better idea? I was also wondering how many people I should invite(I want to invite atleast 15-20 but I want it to be a farly big party so what do you think is the max number i should invite)? and what types of games should i play I was thinkiung waterfight and scavenger hunt as well as pass the parcel but I need some ideas for at the pool)?

It matters how big your granny's yard is. If it is bigger- invite more people. if it is smaller- invite less people. In the pool, you could play; Fruit Basket, perfect 10, races, ghost in the graveyard (pool style), or sardeens (also pool stlye).

party favor ideas: hand out flower leis as guests arrive ~ or make handmade tropical-themed friendship bracelets ahead of time to put on each guest as they arrive...
prizes: inexpensive funky sunglasses, tropical (all kinds) key rings, (starting at 2.49/dz.), tropical can coolers (4.95/dz.)
Play luau-style music, like "shake senora"; "limbo rock", ~get a compilation cd with all kinds of upbeat fun luau music.
Do the limbo-- how looooow can you go? This can be your game to win prizes...(boys against girls even)
Serve teriyaki chicken and pork kabobs on the grill and make tropical smoothies, complete with an umbrella.
And the best part is- all of these ideas are perfect for summer/outdoor/ and.. guys or girls!
