How about a western style BBQ?. Have the kids dressup like cowboys/girls, rent a few ponies and farm animals. Setup an obstacle course in the yard for them to perform rodeo stunts while riding a horse broom. They can decorate their own hats or shirts. Serve fried chicken (or chicken fingers) with corn, beans, biscuits, and pie. Setup bales of hay for the kids to climb, have a clown dressed like a cowboy do some juggling or tricks.
