YAWL IM IN A REAL BIG PICKLE!!! OK MY 16TH BIRTHDAY IS COMING UP, AND I HAVE NOTHING TO DO. YEA YOU WOULD THINK, WELL GO HAVE A BIG PARTY WITH ALL YOUR FRIENDS, ONE PROBLEM, I AM HOMESCHOOLED HERE IN LOUISIANA AND I KNOW NO ONE THAT LIVES DOWN HERE. I ONLY KNOW OF 2 PEOPLE, THAT IS MY COUSIN AND ONE OTHER GIRL!!! I ALSO THOUGHT ABOUT BOWLING, YA KNOW JUST GO OUT WITH YOUR FAMILY. BUT THEN MY GRANDPARENTS ARE SO AGAINST IT. ALL MY FRIENDS ARE IN GEORGIA, AND I WAS THINKING ABOUT SPENDING MY 16TH BIRTHDAY UP THERE, BUT GUESS WHAT THAT PLAN IS ALSO RUINED BECAUSE MY FAMILY THINKS EVRYTIME YOU MOVE YOU HAVE TO FORGOET ABOUT EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING YOU USED TO DO. SO BASICALLY SHE DOESN'T WANT TO ENFORCE ANY OF THE RELATIONSHIPS I HAVE WITH PEOPLE IN GA. HELP ME FOR SOME IDEAS. I'VE BEEN IN A PICKLE BEFORE, BUT NOTHING LIKE THIS!!!

hey hun, don't fret about not knowing anybody right now. I used to have the same problem cuz I'm homeschooled but that was my own fault lol anyways if your not gonna have that many ppl you should do something big (if you can) like rent a hotel room with you and your friends (no parents! or you could have them rent a room close to yours so you can be alone)and make sure the hotel has a pool or something fun like that so you can go swimming and have a good time, maybe you could even rent a limo or something to go out in and go to dinner or something before you go to the hotel. and if your homeschooled and don't have many friends try going to a local church youth group or look up 4-h online those are both great places to meet ppl.

the limo idea sounds cool, but my mom won't pay big bux for that. only for her own pleasures. Renting out a hotel room, dude I wish. My cousin doens't like swimming in front of other people because her self confidense is Xtremely low. and My other friend is more than likey not to get along with my cousin in that respect because my cousin would be like no im not getting in the pool b/c of w/e her excuse would be. and my friend would just get all up in her face. I mean my friend is more punk than n e thing and my cuz is like preppier than ever, but their both sweet ppl. I am joining a bowling league this saturday, which hopefully i can meet new people there. My bday is not til like March 7th, but my grams says i need to plan ahead, because it will be a big challenge figuring something out.
I love the hotel idea, maybe my mom will let if i had more ppl coming.

Here's an idea...

does your friend or cuz go to a public school?if so, have them hand out a bunch of invitations to people they think you would get along with. or you could go to church, youth group, ect. and hand out invites. you could even have your parents tell people they know who have kids your age to come. it doesn't have to be people you know real well. then rent out space at a community center or sumthing and have everyone meet there(that way you don't have to worry about giving directions or having people you don't know at your house). you can decorate however you want and buy tons of food and stuff. keep searching on the internet for games. (i really liked birthdaypartyideas.com)don't think that you're too old for games. sometimes the most childish games are the most fun(my friends still love twister and stuff like that)make sure to look for ice breaker games so you can get to know people and they can get to know you and each other. you could make some really good friends this way.

YES!! That's an awesome idea. My parents just won't fork out the money to rent out a place. And plus buy the food. HA! And she doesn't ever let me invite someone anywheres that I don't know. Only because if she has to fork out money, she wants it only to be for the people I know. Gosh I feel like I'm in an endless pit, and there is no where to go but down. It sucks being stuck in a pickle. Yea I have a cuz that goes to Evergreen Junior High, she is in the 7th grade, but whats hard, the people I do get along with, she doesn't. And I want her to be there to because me and her are close. Ya know I sorta want to please everyone. Yea I know its like MY birthday, but you have to get everyone to enjoy themselves before you can actually enjoy yourself. Get my drift. Gosh how can planning a birthday be so horrifying. lol Gosh if I only lived back in GA, I would not be having this problem. And thats why I say for my birthday to go to GA, but everyone at my house disagrees. Arg. Lemme see what I can find, and see what my family says, and I'll post it, hahaha prolly more limitations. Ha I'm basically stuck with a pencil with no lead right now.
Catcha ya lata...Ya HAD AN AWESOME IDEA THOUGH THANKS

here's another idea

first of all, you have to stop being so negative. you seemed to reject everyone's ideas without even trying to make them work. obviously you're not going to GA so focus more on what you can do instead of what you can't. i don't think it costs that much, if any, to rent out some place. if you have a park or beach or something, they don't cost anything. you could even ask if paying for your party could be their present to you. food isn't that much money either and teens at this age don't eat very much(trust me, i always have tons of food left over). also remember, you can't please eveyone at once. i repeat, you can't please eveyone at once. so what you need to do is plan a few games that some people will like and some that other people will like. try not to do games where there are teams so no one is stuck with someone they don't like. it's also nice to have board games or something to keep them busy if you're playing a game that only some people like. email me [email protected] and i'll help you more. just stop throwing out every idea that comes along. from what it sounds like, you want to go to GA so bad that you're convincing yourself you can't possibly have fun where you are. it'll work out and remember to talk to your parents about these ideas. you might be able to reach a compromise.
