If you have a Joann Fabrics near you they have a bunch of classes like scrapbooking and clay sculpting and a whole bunch of other stuff.

Maybe what you could do is have her and all her friends make a pinata together and after they did that they could write a message that would fit anyone in the group and thos along with prebought candy can go in the pinata!

Hope this helps!
Happy Birthday to you Sam!

Why not do dinner theater. My daughters 7th birthday party was a lot of fun. Her friends came over 4 hours in advance and rehersed a play. We modifyed the story of the Three Little Pigs. I had simple costume and props ready for them to use. The girls were assigned parts with the reminder that there are no small roles only small actors. We did made our tree house into the stage and did a dress rehersal. Next came the making and preparation of a dinner. The girls loved setting the tables and organizing the food. Their parents came through a ticket entrance and they recieved playbills. Dinner was served and the play went on. Every child was a star and all the parents enjoyed seeing their little ones preform. The show was videotaped and given as a party favor. A talent show or lip sync could be a lot of fun too.
