well, you should invite equal boys and equal girls to a co-ed party. if you want the girls to sleep over after words you should because that is so much fun. Let boys stay pretty late, that way you can have more fun. if there are enough of you guys then have dancing. if there are only like 3 of each sex, then it's really fun to play team truth or dare, guys vrs. girls, no rules. but make a pact, nothing that happens at the pary leaves the party.

an activity that i did for my 13 birthday was paint candles! i had a bunch of girls over and it was great! you need to get big white candles, glitter, candle paint (and possibly some other types of paint so it can stick better) and stickers, lots of stickers! this activity will take about an hour if you have some creative girls!
