My son will be turning 13 in a few weeks. I will be hosting a party for him and about 8 of his males friends at our apartment. (it's cold where we live so there is not an option for outdoor activities right now)
Last year I went all out on his party but this year I am very busy and quite tired in the evenings. I will be holding his party on a Friday after school.
Last year I did a Spiderman theme with the decorations and planned several active games. Played music and fed them snacks pizza & wings and birthday cake.
My son loves nice clothes, music (rap music etc,) and video games. I'm thinking of a low key celebration this year BUT I don't want to disappoint him and his friends after the outstanding party they had last year. (They haven't stopped talking about all the fun they had!)
Do you have any suggestions? What's HOT this year!?

Well, sounds like you're in a jumble...Parties that I have attended recently have all had the same theme. See, I'm turning 13 in 3 weeks. I've been keeping an eye out for great party ideas. I've realized that 60's and 70's parties are hot right now. Which is good for me, because I like rock. Not that sappy ans annoying crap Simple Plan or Coheed and Cambria. But REAL rock. Try the classics, Back in Black, The Immigrant Song, Sunshine of your love, Highway to Hell, ect...
For activities you can tie dye shirts, make rose colorecd glasses, ect...

O.K. I'm turning 13 too this year, and I think you should have like Rock music and everything over there ( I mean, if he likes rock too ) Yeah bring some Classic rock, Heavy Metal N' stuff like that. But If he like Rap too, he should bring his favorite music that he likes himself, or whatever.
