I just found this really cool idea from a webbie called Teenpartyideas.com
Movie Making Party
Find a really popular movie and make some really dumb looking costumes that they would have worn if it were produced by a bunch of trailer park dudes. Then make a corny set, get a fake video camera or a real one if you want to record the movie, a clapboard with an odd amount of takes (like 3827947.4), a some flashlights for spotlights, and a directors chair with one of those funny french hats. Oh, and a megaphone. Megaphones are cool.
For the rest of the party you can pretty much just let the actors come up with their own junk, though you should probably supply a plot and setting to get them started. Start out with two or three people on stage, then tell them to come in at random times.
For a cake you can make a roll of film cake by squishing layers of icecream, crushed cookies, and canned fruits into a round bowl or a bunt bowl, then sticking it in the freezer till the party. It won't got bad for weeks, sometimes months.
Hope this helps, and if it doesn't, you can look at some other ideas from that webbie. Good luck! | |
