is it going to be like a formal cocktail party? or more casual.. either way you could make your husband laugh by putting on a slideshow of all sorts of embarrassing pics from his childhood through to now... get some nice food and maybe some live music and have the musicians do requests,you could always get one of those people that does the tune of one song to another, for example the lyrics of thunderstruck by ac dc to the tune of clocks by cold play that would provide a laugh though I don't know how much it would cost
