Good-bye 50's or Looking forward to the 60's

You could do a party that involves saying good-bye to the Fabulous 50's. Have a 50's party theme that uses decorations including jukeboxes, vinyl records, and soda shop decorations. Your color scheme could include pinks, teals, and black. Serve diner fair - Milkshakes, hamburgers, fries, etc.

Here is an easy party favor to make. Take an old vinyl record and place it over an upside down bowl that is sitting on a baking sheet. Place in a very low oven and warm for a few minutes until the record starts to mold itself around the bowl. Remove from the oven, using oven mitts, and place warmed record inside the bowl. Allow to cool after you have achieved the desired shape.

You could also do a Looking Forward to the 60's theme. Use funkadelic colors and get grooving like Austin Powers! Tie-dyes, peace signs, and hippie style will feature prominately in this theme!
