I am a software developer and I had to complete my task and deliver it to my client last week. Unfortunately, I couldn’t finish my work on the specified deadline. The client got pissed off and canceled the contract with our company. I tried to convince the client but it was of no use.
I even got a warning from my company. But today, I accidentally saw that the client has launched the product online and guess what, it was my program code and data. I depend on cloud storage to store my data, as it saves a lot of time and can be accessed from anywhere. But my account was hacked and they might have fetched all the information. It was on the verge of completion which required only a few patch works.
I guess it was the client’s master brain but I have nothing to prove that it was my work.
I have learned a good lesson from this experience and I don't want such instances to happen again.
Is there any way to secure the cloud data? While researching I came across cloud security services but I am not familiar with it. http://nci.ca/services/
Can anyone help me with this? It would be great if someone could explain about the service in detail.
