Our one yr old male is still urinating in his crate. He does not go in the house, he is fixed and has no medical problems. The vet thought it might have been "marking" and told us to wait a few months after being fixed for the hormones to go away. He was fixed at 10 mths old. He does not have an infection or other urinary problems. Sometimes he will go days without going in his crate and then somedays he will do it several times. We don't leave him in the crate for long periods of time. The longest he is in the crate is overnight. He still chews so we can't leave him out yet. If we happen to fall asleep on the couch at night he does not go in the house. I'm completely confused. We make sure he relieves himself when he goes outside but then he still goes in his crate. We thought seperation anxiety but he doesn't do it all the time. Our 2 1/2 yr old female never did this. Any suggestions? I feel like we are out of options here.
