It has been a few years since I had to ship a dog by air but....I'm going overseas for an extended amount of time and hate to leave my dog for that long. I'm sure each airline has it's own guidelines but does anyone here have a general idea of the (heat/time of year) restrictions. Also has anyone had particularly good results from any certain airlines as far as dog handling?
is the company my son used to ship his dog and cat to Fl from Germany two weeks ago...a little pricey but they took good care of them and it was in the middle of a scorching heat ...I don't have any of the documents in front of me but you can probably google them...they deal with all types of animals...it is their specialty...
Generally in effect from mid June through mid Sept. I believe the temperature can't exceed 85 degrees at either end of the journey (or any layovers). Best bet is to fly at night or early in the morning.
