To EVERY student of martial arts, here is a VERY important message. Sifu gives this to us, but we often miss it. It has in fact, been his personal journey. And I may have probably learned the teaching on a direct level from him but gained the understanding years later, or had to TRAIN to discover his deep message for myself. But this is my understanding of a very deep message from our Sifu:
Do NOT sit around listening to the stories of the old masters, saying to yourself, 'I wish I could have been there.' You should be living YOUR dreams NOW. If your comtemplate on stories of the past or WAIT on finding the best training, you will NEVER create your OWN memories. When you get to that point in life, it is often too late. Wake up tomorrow, train, and everything else will unfold all by itself. So when YOU are old, YOU will have your OWN stories to share. Create your past tomorrow my friends.
