Hello Everyone!

I am very pleased to announce that the official opening date for the new Hardcore Jeet Kune Do Academy in Oneonta, Alabama will be March 7th, 2005! Mark Turquitt and I have finally secured the location and the keys will be handed over to us any day now! The enrollment process for new students will begin immediately. There will be classes for mixed adults, classes for women only, and for the first time we will be introducing the “Little Dragons” program for children. This will be the most extensive and intense series of classes ever offered, so get ready for action. I will be teaching all classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and Mark will be teaching all classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as the late afternoon children’s classes. Monday and Wednesday during the day will be open for private lessons by appointment only. At this time, there are no classes scheduled for Friday nights, but that could change in the near future. Saturdays and Sundays will offer the usual monthly seminars, plus there will be many special events held from time to time! Get ready for an extensive seminar schedule, and there will be more programs than ever offered to those who are interested in becoming instructors. All H.I.T. Program training sessions will be held at the new kwoon. As soon as everything is lined up, full information will be available on hotels and eating arrangements in the immediate area of the kwoon. From what I have seen, everything is in easy walking distance! Get ready for ACTION, ACTION and more ACTION!!!!!!!

I just wanted to give you an update. The kwoon is located at 205 2nd Avenue East (Highway 75) in downtown Oneonta right next to Pasquales. We officially take possession of the building on Monday afternoon, after which work will begin at a feverish pace! The kwoon is 2,500 square feet, which should be more than enough space to house any and all activities that we will have planned. As soon as we have more information available, I will post it here! You can also watch the Hardcore Jeet Kune Do website for constant updates. As soon as work is complete and photos are available, they will be posted!

Hello Everyone!

Well, I got the keys to the kwoon yesterday, and eagerly began work toward preparing to open! I stayed until 11:00 working, then went back again today to do some more. I stopped in time to head back to Birmingham to teach class at 8:00 tonight. I will be back tomorrow afternoon for more, and I am planning to work until midnight or later! There is a lot to be done, but then I have done quite a bit already too! This place is going to be AWESOME when it is finished! We will have a phone number tomorrow, and I will post it as soon as I know what it is. More coming soon!

Hello Everyone!

Just to let you know what is happening, today I painted the front of the building. It is now a beautiful satin semi gloss JKD gold color! Tomorrow I will paint the doors and the window trim in satin semi gloss JKD red! Also today the retail area was organized and the showcases positioned. Now the retail area is ready for stocking. Things are shaping up rather nicely, but I still don't know whether or not we will make the scheduled opening Monday evening or not! Still so much to do and so little time! Watch for more reports as things develop.

Hello Everyone!

Well, we are not going to be opening tonight as originally hoped! Still too much to be done. The main floor was painted with the first coat of paint last night. At least one more coat, if not two, will be necessary to get the floor ready for active use. Also, the framework for the equipment cannot be built until the floor is finished. The lettering for the front windows isn't finished yet, but should be ready any day now. I want EVERYTHING to be complete before we open, so we are probably looking at another week before opening. As usual, I will keep you all updated on what is going on.
